Founded in 1972 by Bob, Thompson’s Seafood began with a simple vision: to build a true family-run fishmonger that serves the local community with honesty and pride. That vision took root when Bob took on his young nephew, James, as an apprentice. Learning the trade from the ground up, James quickly mastered the craft—from hand-selecting the finest early-morning catches at Billingsgate Market to understanding the precise cuts needed for traditional recipes across different cultures.
Today, James leads Thompson’s Seafood into its exciting next chapter at our newly refurbished home in Holcombe Market, N17.
